2026-04-19T01:42:58 <343darkwolf> When running the ./umo install --sync morrowind-starter-pack command after successfully setting up Umo on mac (from inside the momw tools pack, I got a notification that there was no 7-zip pachage anywhere. So I went and installed p7zip through homebrew and now I'm only getting this in response to the command. Is there any way to force umo to recognize the 7zip installed in the tools pack? 2026-04-19T01:42:58 <343darkwolf> https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1315324617107443712/1495238244688723968/Screenshot_2026-04-18_at_9.33.06_PM.png?ex=69e584a1&is=69e43321&hm=70446eec20dab4b042963f31aca9d286d0d554224ac792678a2d89e0075c406c& 2026-04-19T15:26:12 *** ChanServ sets mode: +v OpenMW-bridge 2026-04-19T15:32:41 hello! i installed umo, i intended to just use the default drive location for cache dir, but i fat fingered 3 on the num pad when i went to hit enter. Is this gonna cause me any issues that people might be able to help me work around? I tried to reinstall umo but im not exactly a linux wiz yet and it brought me straight past that stem in the terminal 2026-04-19T15:37:54 nvrmind. figured it out! 2026-04-19T15:38:05 im smarter that i give myself credit for sometimes 2026-04-19T15:47:09 the terminal seems to have skipped the step to locat the openmw-navmeshtool file and requested i enter the path to the Morrowind.ini file, i assume this is not a problem and maybe just a missed update? Im almost certain i can find the ini in the steam install folder 2026-04-19T15:48:25 i feel pretty confident about this but just poking here in case im about to make a massive mistake ill need to fix later 2026-04-19T15:49:23 oh you know the terminal sure says navmesh a lot, i hope i did this right 2026-04-19T15:54:31 should i run ./momw-configurator-linux-amd64 setup again to fix it, maybe do a fresh install of morrowind with a Integrity Verification in order to make sure the base ini is restored, or am i gonna be all good? 2026-04-19T16:09:17 <.gonzo.> reconfig is the command for that 2026-04-19T16:10:07 okayso im gonna have to run reconfig and do it again 2026-04-19T16:10:11 thanks for hopping in 2026-04-19T16:16:27 2026/04/19 12:13:03 Please enter the path to the Morrowind.ini file: /home/tera/Games/OpenMW/openmw-20260416-61aa014975528298db1e9d58902e205b3e3d6851-Linux-64Bit/openmw-navmeshtool 2026/04/19 12:14:19 Found: /home/tera/Games/OpenMW/openmw-20260416-61aa014975528298db1e9d58902e205b3e3d6851-Linux-64Bit/openmw-navmeshtool 2026/04/19 12:14:19 2026/04/19 12:14:19 WARNING: The given file does not contain 'morrowind.ini'! 2026/04/19 2026-04-19T16:16:28 12:14:19 WARNING: Are you sure it's actually morrowind.ini? 2026/04/19 12:14:19 Please enter the path to your Morrowind Data Files folder: 2026-04-19T16:17:31 hmm sorry for all the questions, im doing my best to figure it out on my own, im just hitting roadblocks 2026-04-19T16:18:51 <.gonzo.> > Please enter the path to the Morrowind.ini file: > /home/tera/Games/OpenMW/openmw-20260416-61aa014975528298db1e9d58902e205b3e3d6851-Linux-64Bit/openmw-navmeshtool 2026-04-19T16:19:06 <.gonzo.> you didn't point it to the .ini file 2026-04-19T16:19:38 okay so i do have to p[oint it to the morrowind ini file in the steam folder, i did it correctly initially then 2026-04-19T16:19:44 okay 2026-04-19T16:20:28 i was reading from here: https://modding-openmw.com/guides/auto/i-heart-vanilla-directors-cut/linux#selected-mod-list Run the configurator step 4 2026-04-19T16:21:09 it skips the morrowind ini step and never actually has be navigate to the openmw-navmeshtool file which is what initially threw me off 2026-04-19T20:02:56 Is there any way to install a specific version of a modlist instead of the latest one? e.g. total-overhaul 8.1.2 2026-04-19T20:03:33 <.gonzo.> nope 2026-04-19T20:04:57 alas 2026-04-19T22:47:43 how do i install starwind modlist. the instructions are very very vague and seems to be for a experienced person. is there a video tutorial? 2026-04-19T22:48:41 i broke the game trying to install from just looking at the steps it shows random scripts and stuff but obviously it didint work 2026-04-19T23:01:47 what do i do after installing the modlist to set up. like config load order and the launcher stuff 2026-04-19T23:12:02 do i need to install starwind over morrowind and then install the modlist? 2026-04-19T23:12:06 is thats whats wrong?
