2026-06-05T02:15:22 <.gonzo.> Yeah it's basically asking to be polite. It's required 2026-06-05T10:54:31 Is there an umo command to delete all mods not used in currently active modlist? 2026-06-05T11:42:18 <.gonzo.> Nope 2026-06-05T13:49:22 Then what is the most time efficient way to do that? 2026-06-05T14:29:21 I don't think you can do that...? 🤔 You can use umo remove NameOfTheMod and delete the mod folder manually to delete a custom mod though. 2026-06-05T14:42:55 Hi everyone, I saw this error brought up some months ago, but the proposed solution did not work out. I'm currently running Fedora 44 and using the latest dev build of the momw toolspack. I also tried this whole ordeal with the stable build of the momw-toolspack to no avail. During ./umo setup i get following message right before the finish: creating destkop entry at /home/ceddy/.local/share/applications/umo.desktop 2026-06-05T14:42:55 registering umo as default nxm link handler registering umo as default momw link handler running update-desktop-database there were problems during testing the extraction of rar files: either use the 7zip binary shipped in the momw toolspack or check your distros 7zip package - you may need to install a seperate package for 7zip's rar support. after running ./umo check it hits me with the following: NOT OK RARv4 NOT OK RARv4 solid NOT OK 2026-06-05T14:42:56 RARv5 NOT OK RARv5_solid there were problems during testing the extraction of rar files: either use the 7zip binary shipped in the momw toolspack or check your distros 7zip package - you may need to install a seperate package for 7zip's rar support. The currently installed versions of the relevant programs are umo-0.11, 7zip-25.01 & unrar-7.1.7 2026-06-05T14:43:29 maybe this is all some linux fuckery as always, but i wanted to check if there's something i overlooked 2026-06-05T14:58:16 I'm also on Fedora (43) and I remember having to run sudo dnf install libxcrypt-compat in order to make it work https://discord.com/channels/260439894298460160/1315324617107443712/1468557289173553226 2026-06-05T14:59:01 (not saying this is your issue but worth a try if you haven't already) 2026-06-05T15:00:04 thanks for the answer, sadly i already have libxcrypt-4.5.2 installed (it was an earlier error message tho!) 2026-06-05T15:01:24 dammit... sorry 🥲 2026-06-05T15:03:04 do you run the dnf version? (for 7zip I mean) 2026-06-05T15:03:23 *rpm 2026-06-05T15:06:14 found this 2026-06-05T15:06:14 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1315324617107443712/1512472622695190588/Screenshot_From_2026-06-05_17-05-55.png?ex=6a243765&is=6a22e5e5&hm=38f26ebc505848a1df7a3628907530c612c55ec9cc4d48118e6f8fc0f0cdd0dc& 2026-06-05T15:06:23 https://linuxcapable.com/how-to-install-7-zip-on-fedora-linux/ 2026-06-05T15:06:59 sends me here: https://linuxcapable.com/how-to-install-unrar-on-fedora-linux/ 🤔 2026-06-05T15:07:25 oh wait nvmd 2026-06-05T15:08:18 I think we need to use the upstream binary package now 🥲 2026-06-05T15:08:19 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1315324617107443712/1512473143409643681/Screenshot_From_2026-06-05_17-07-42.png?ex=6a2437e1&is=6a22e661&hm=27d9ec26ae2dbeb0419efdc2adef3eaaa5e61db9232acdda38eb81d5fd86be48& 2026-06-05T15:08:26 (last one on the list) 2026-06-05T15:09:03 (glad I haven't upgraded to 44 yet 🥲 ) 2026-06-05T15:09:09 I'll try that one, thank you already! 2026-06-05T15:09:25 and yeah, 44 is not really polished hahaha 2026-06-05T15:10:18 another year, another distro-hop 2026-06-05T15:10:47 https://tenor.com/view/thinking-lost-new-york-sigh-alone-gif-24949861 2026-06-05T15:18:27 that was the solution ❤️ after manually installing it to /usr/bin/ and then removing the older dnf package, ./umo setup worked like a charm! 2026-06-05T15:19:38 did you have to update your PATH...? 👀 2026-06-05T15:22:49 seemingly did so on its own, but I'm not 100% sure 2026-06-05T15:42:44 <.gonzo.> right-click -> delete 2026-06-05T15:43:32 https://tenor.com/view/truth-nuke-truth-true-soyjak-wojak-gif-14828627546768133163 2026-06-05T17:05:17 it's strange, even after using the firefox appimage (instead of the rpm-firefox, which shouldn't be sandboxed afaik), its still not even trying to open the nxm:// protocol via umo when clicking "slow download" after using the appimage i also reconfigured umo and ran the setup again, tried to install the modlist a few times but everytime I'm stuck at the same point :( 2026-06-05T17:26:23 <.gonzo.> is the firefox appimage set as your default browser? 2026-06-05T17:45:29 yesss i did set it and if i run ./umo install it opens in the appimage one 2026-06-05T19:11:59 https://modding-openmw.gitlab.io/umo/#firefox-issues 2026-06-05T19:23:51 already tried those 4 values one after the other, still wouldn"t work :( 2026-06-05T19:30:49 Try Vivaldi or something else maybe 2026-06-05T19:31:19 I haven't heard of anyone unable to use ff appimage though
