2026-03-10T15:06:10 Hey, I don't suppose I can commission a very simple mod? I'm a grad student with not much time, but otherwise I'd made a simple OpenMW skills and attributes uncap mod that does only those things without modifying level progression. I can't find a mod that does just an uncap for OpenMW, and I'm willing to pay someone to make it. 2026-03-10T15:06:52 <.arrean> MBSP that you got linked has settings to disable everything else about the mod. So you can use it and have it do only skill uncapping 2026-03-10T15:07:47 Huh??? I couldn't find those settings, but I'll take another look. Are they in the in-game script settings menu? 2026-03-10T15:08:08 <.arrean> Should be, at least that's what mod author told me, I use a different uncapper that does much more 2026-03-10T15:08:31 I see! Okay, thank you! I'm in lab rn, but I'll give it a go tonight! Sorry for my ignorance. 2026-03-10T15:09:06 <.arrean> Not to worry. And let me load it up jsut to check 2026-03-10T15:09:44 That'd be helpful! 2026-03-10T15:13:07 <.arrean> Set all skill multipliers to 1, disable the refund, enable the uncapper, and you should be ok 2026-03-10T15:13:08 <.arrean> https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1356001106211115229/1480946611290112141/image.png?ex=69b18682&is=69b03502&hm=282cfb83f73eda501c59886c9404349a01c14f6855a7e0b3619f99b7e87b458b& 2026-03-10T15:15:18 I see! I'll experiment with this when i get home since it seems very promising. Thanks so much for your effort! 2026-03-10T15:15:33 This seems perfect 2026-03-10T15:16:00 <.arrean> oh, and set magicka xp multiplier to 0. Basically just read the settings' descriptions it's mostly in there 2026-03-10T15:16:49 Would these not affect costs? 2026-03-10T15:16:49 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1356001106211115229/1480947543432106207/image.png?ex=69b18761&is=69b035e1&hm=75b9871fdd5fc6d534ddd50e7b3e35cbca5eccda5941880d9e9238dfd864cc27& 2026-03-10T15:17:05 <.arrean> if refunding itself is disabled these shouldn't do anything 2026-03-10T15:17:14 I see! 2026-03-10T15:17:17 <.arrean> https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1356001106211115229/1480947660620824696/image.png?ex=69b1877c&is=69b035fc&hm=a55c938027583d86f77e79b905f903872a0197b57c16e8f43923e3c592aa391c& 2026-03-10T15:18:24 Would you happen to know off hand if this also affects attribute caps? Or just skills? 2026-03-10T15:19:09 <.arrean> Just skills I think. There's another mod for atributes by the same author (Abilities are modifiers) but I'm not sure if it is as configurable 2026-03-10T15:19:28 <.arrean> check their page on nexus, there's a lot of good stuff 2026-03-10T15:19:28 I see! I'll do moe sleuthing. 2026-03-10T16:07:47 i could make a mod like that for you but the attribute uncapper would only show your attributes at up to 95 when you're at the level up screen 2026-03-10T16:15:58 If that's only for the level-up screen, that's perfectly fine. As long as the stats screen shows the correct number. 2026-03-10T16:16:08 DM for cost discussion? 2026-03-10T18:00:12 Sorry if someone's asked already and I missed it but for the BC7 changes, most things seem to look right other than having to press the flip button in multi-lut. Is there an explanation of exactly what I can expect to break somewhere. I assume flipping whatever in shaders to fix it will then break them for the previous versions so I should add a toggle for changing at least in the meantime?
