2026-04-05T12:08:09 Hi guys, I'm currently helping out in finding missing models for a mod. I use Vortex for mod installation and therefore the VFS is kinda bypassed. Is there a (relative) easy way to verify a mod using only the vanilla mods plus specific VFS folders (of other dependencies)? The verify tool in OpenCS is great but when my complete Data Files folder is used it won't catch if the files actually come from some other mod. I 2026-04-05T12:08:10 vaguely remember back in day specific tools existed for this purpose, but Google didn't really find something. Any tips would be much appreciated. 2026-04-05T12:26:06 Ok I found a way that kinda works: - Installed a vanilla installation via GoG 2026-04-05T12:34:02 <.hemaris> what are you ultimately trying to accomplish here? 2026-04-05T12:52:42 A mod on the Nexus is missing meshes. I wanted to let the modder know which files are missing. But using my complete "Data files" folder would have tainted the verify result, since some files might have been already added by other mods. 2026-04-05T12:57:34 <.hemaris> there are better tools. what mod is it? 2026-04-05T12:58:39 Dwemer Legacy Reforged - Arkngthunch-Sturdumz: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54807 Dwemer Legacy Reforged - Bthungthumz and Druscashti: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/55073 What tools would you recommend? 2026-04-05T13:02:10 <.hemaris> Greatness7's modpackager https://discord.com/channels/210394599246659585/218457935846703104/801310830729101374 2026-04-05T13:13:59 Thank you very much. I will take a look at it. Weirdly enough after googling that specific tool I found a blog entry from Abot regarding that topic: https://abitoftaste.altervista.org/morrowind/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=60&catid=45&Itemid=73&-Morrowind-modding-for-smarties-part-6-mod-testing-packaging I will leave it here in case it might be of interest to others.
